Dear Shy Girl,

Don’t feel bad about this. Sometimes, the shyest people are the most friendly when you get to know them. Try talking to some students sitting near you in your classes. You could listen to them when they are talking or laugh when they make a joke. When you laugh, the person could see your friendliness. If that does not work, you could try saying “Hi” to people that you see around often, and you could also make small talk with others when they approach you with questions.
