Aspiring rapper J-Key debuted with “On You” but made a breakthrough with “Hello World” off his mixtape “Who’s Looking.” He is an Everett-based rapper, as well as the Bottomline Records’ co-CEO. J-Key has sold over 15,000 copies of “Who’s Looking” in the northwest. The all-original project, released August 2013, includes thirteen tracks by J-Key with guest appearances from Nipsey Hussle, Boogz Boogetz, LatinRose and more. Following the release of his debut mixtape, J-Key’s talent was widely recognized by other rappers. J-Key has performed on tours with other musicians, such as YG, Kid Ink and Kirko Bangz.
J-Key is currently working on recording and producing his more personal six-song EP entitled “Not A Kid Anymore.” Through this album, J-Key aims to give the public a deeper view of his past and personality. While there will be no big name features on this project, the songs on this project are more complete and fine-tuned. The project will be released on iTunes in the spring.
