Meet Ms. Knutzen

Hey, bulldogs! Brier Terrace would like to welcome a new teacher to the 7th grade math department this year!

Her name is Ms. Knutzen and she is the new math teacher in room 5 who loves teaching and spreading her knowledge to help us become better students. She originally got a degree in psychology and engineering, but did not want to sit behind a desk all day, so she decided to become a math teacher. “I’ve always liked math and I liked working with my classmates, and sharing what I know felt good, so I thought, why not become a math teacher?” she said.

Ms. Knutzen had taught one year of 8th grade math in California before coming here to Brier Terrace. She thinks the school is great with supportive staff and kids. “Teaching is hard work, but if you enjoy doing it, it’s fun work.”
