In the dreary town of Quil, at the age of thirteen, it is decided who will be a disciplined Wanted, a slave like Needed, and a creative Unwanted. Those who are Unwanted are executed so as to keep the town powerful. Alex is one of these Unwanteds who doesn't expect to last long. That all changes when he meets the colorful Mr. Today, who had been rescuing the creative Unwanteds and housing them in a magical world called Artime. Along with new friends from this world, Alex must stop the advancing forces of Quil, and save his wanted twin Aron, from the lure of evil and greed. The book is full of action and magic with an interesting plot and characters. It is a worthy read,; the book is captivating and interesting, with a good ending and several other books in its series.
