On December 3, 2015, the seventh and eighth grade Boys Basketball team played their first home game against Meadowdale. For the eighth grade game, although Meadowdale kept getting ahead, the Bulldogs never gave up and fought to the end. According to Coach Jones there was a size issue but they never backed down. But when the game ended, they lost 49 to 69. “One thing we did well was passing the ball,” said Eric Pham. “We could work on finishing our shots.”

For the seventh grade game, the Bulldogs won 55-51. Cameron Larson scored the most points with 11, while Ethan Dunne had the second most points with 9 points. According to Coach Jones, “They play really well as a team, but they’ve improved on their depth.” He also says that Makiti Mereke has improved the most because “he’s really come along and improved his basketball game and earned a spot in the regular rotation.” A piece of advice he has for the seventh graders is to just keep playing. “Play your round if you can. It will make you better any time you touch a basketball.” Coach Jones would like to add that, “It’s great to have Coach Baines. He brings a lot of energy and a lot of knowledge to the team and to the program.”
