"Ball is Life"

Robbie Baringer is a seventh grader on the boys basketball team at BTMS. According to Robbie, some of his greatest improvements over the year were dribbling, passing, shooting and dribble penetration. He achieved this by taking advice from the coaches and practicing hard. “I knew from the beginning that I was going to try out,” said Robbie Baringer. “[Our] greatest achievement was beating Meadowdale.”

Ethan Dunne is a seventh grader on the BTMS boys basketball team. According to Ethan, he joined the basketball team because it was his passion.“ [In the] beginning of the season, we worked pretty good together, because [we] played together for a couple years,” said Ethan. “[School basketball is] a lot more school sense like, [there is] more of a community sense [and] there’s a lot more people watching the games.”

Lathan Echols is an 8th grader in the boys basketball team at BTMS. According to Lathan his improvements were shooting and “getting buckets.” Lathan joined the school basketball team because he had a strong love for basketball and “ball is life.” He said, “[In] school ball, you know a lot of people on the other teams you're playing.”

Justin Roque is an 8th grader in the BTMS basketball team. Justin joined the basketball team because “I play[ed] basketball before [and] because ball is life: it’s a passion.” According to Justin, his improvements were his attitude improving and that he does not rage anymore. “[This season was] very good. [We] worked really hard, [and] I am very proud of them,” said Justin Roque.
