According to recent polls, lacrosse is favored by more students, and improves hand eye coordination more than basketball. For this reason the school is putting an end to any basketball, and changing it into lacrosse. To those who like basketball and what to keep it, if you are able to make a petition with at least one hundred fifty votes, we will get it back. Here are some interviews from the students:
“I would much rather play lacrosse than basketball, mostly because it’s a lot of fun, and much better than basketball.”
- John Gonzaga
“Why have basketball and not lacrosse? It’s a great game, and besides we don’t need basketball anyway.”
- Brian Wilson
“Basketball is okay, but I am really happy we’re getting lacrosse.” - Florentine Francoise
“This is a great idea, I don’t know why we didn’t do this sooner." - Irene Rheia
We also asked students and teachers about this, and there were five times the people who wanted lacrosse than basketball. So with all these reasons, next year there will be no basketball, but lacrosse instead. Being in favor of the majority, Coach Jones says, “The numbers are way down for tryouts, and there doesn't seem to be an interest in it anymore. The popularity of lacrosse is something we can't pass up on. I am looking forward to working with Mr. Fridge to learn about this new sport.”
