You probably would think that sitting in a box for almost five hours would be boring and not be worth anything. However, the first-annual Boxathon proved otherwise.

In the Boxathon, you participate by putting down fifteen dollars (or donate more) and all the money goes to the Nourishing Network charity. In return you get a afternoon of awesome. Every hour you get released from the box for pizza and games. In your box, you could use electronics (like your phones), board games, and basically anything that you can get in the box.

Ms. Wertman and Mr. Treadway were the main campaigners who set up the boxathon. At the end of the night, Ms. Wertman reported that the charity event had raised almost seven hundred dollars!

The Boxathon is going to continue, so for all the seventh-graders out there, get your box ready.
