The Earth Day assembly was held at Brier Terrace on April 22 and was a great success. The Assembly was put together to teach kids how to recycle better and to raise recycling awareness by the BTMS Green Team, led by Ms Poole. It started off with a dramatic video that showed several Green Team members recycling incorrectly, and then in the proper way. Later on another video was shown featuring great illustrations that taught what you can and cannot recycle.

The assembly featured several fun games such as one where you must sort through a pile of recycling and trash using only your elbows, in which the seventh graders won. There was a fairly interesting surprise video that had “Recycle Man” teaching even more about recycling. Overall, the assembly was great and most people, if not, everyone learned how to “go clean and go green.”
